ABOUT DEBBIE
Debbie Gibbs has painted and done mixed media work in acrylic for many years. As of July, 2019, she began devoting much more time to her art, having retired from over 40 years in education. Debbie's abstract paintings take on a variety of styles. She uses an emergent approach, discovering the painting as she goes.
Debbie loves to use paper with acrylics in a mosaic-like style inspired by her love of Gaudi and Fuster's mosaics. Debbie paints and textures the papers she uses in her media collage-style works. She also uses paper, sticks, plaster, clay, found objects and fabrics to create three dimensional figures.
